My First Thanksgiving
Saturday, November 29th, 2008Readers,
This is Indira. I’m writing to you because my parents seem kind of tired after our trek to and from Ohio. I had a great Thanksgiving. I did all kinds of things that I can’t do at home. Aunt Jessie’s cat let me pet him. My cats at home run away when I try to do this. Uncle Jon let me have the TV remote! (I know it’s a duplicate of the one they use, but I didn’t realize this until the second day).
Zoe and Jake 2.0 shared their toys.
My dad visited with his family. They were all very sweet and took turns squeezing me.
I communicated with other life forms.
I didn’t see mom or dad do much of anything but relax, eat and visit.
Here we are after dinner, standing in front of one of Jessie’s mosaics.

They ate some yummy looking turkey but they gave me turkey dinner puree that kind of looks like cat food. As if on cue, I gagged on it. I also threw the following items on the floor soon after; carrot stick, celery, two biter biscuits and several tiny pieces of a roll. Mom kept handing me stuff as if she was trying to keep me quiet. Huh. That didn’t work.
But we’re home now, and I’m helping them unpack while they recuperate.
